Carer visa Offshore Subclass 116

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must be offshore while applying for Carer visa 116.
• Sponsor: – You need to have an eligible Sponsor.
• Role of the Sponsor: – On top of all, the sponsor has to be above 18 years, along with that to be a legal holder of permanent citizenship in Australia.
• Being a Sponsor, you must help your family members to help stay or settle in Australia. You need to provide them with financial and moral support along with sufficient space to live (for the first two years).
• Assurance of Support: –
  1. 1. You need to own an AoS. An Assurance of Support assures Australian government that you will not have to depend on help of Australian government after entering Australia on this visa.
• This assurance is for other migrating family members, too. Have paid Outstanding debt (if any) to the Australian Government.
• Australian Values Statement: – You must sign the Australian values statement, which assures that you will abide by all Australian laws and will respect their way of living.
• Obligations: – It is necessary that you and your family abide by all laws of Australian Government.
• Mode of Application: – Visa should be applied in Paper mode.
• Applicant must meet the Health and Character needs. Family members, applying for the visa must qualify health and character requirements of Australian Government.
• Family members, even if not migrating to Australia, might also have to qualify character requirements.

• Is usually stayer in the household of the main applicant.
• have been fully or considerably dependent on you for a sufficient period for basic needs.
• Is more reliant on applicant than any other person
• Is unmarried, engaged to be married or in a de facto relationship.

• Leading to physical, intellectual or sensory damage to their ability to commit to the realistic aspect of daily existence.
• Of a type which cannot be given by any other relative or from welfare or community services in Australia.

Evaluation

• First step is to check the eligibility to add the application and line or to refuse it.
• Second step involves the continue testing of the application when the place becomes available and making a decision on it.

Steps Involved (in Applying): –

• Your Passport

• You need to provide all necessary documents, including those of dependents or partner who might be applied with you, for the further proceedings. Arrange documents of your sponsor, too.
• Documents: – Identity Documents (Passport and Birth Certificate)
• Character documents
• Certified Registration proof of marriage or relationship
• Proof of name change (if applicable).
• Documents of dependents under 18 years of age.
• Identity proof
• Proof of their relation with you(Birth or marriage certificate)
• Character documents(if apply)
• Bupa Medical certificate including a statement that your relative or their family member has a medical condition which requires care.
• Provide: –

• Proof of de facto relationship with partner for a minimum of 12 months before applying date.
• Photographs: – You need to provide 4 photographs which
• must be of passport size(45mm* 35mm)
• must be less than 6 months old and of good quality(not laser copies)
• With a full-face view of head and shoulders.
• Background should be plain and light.
• Prepare your documents: –
• You will need to translate all non-English documents into English.

• This visa needs to be applied by paper.
• You should be offshore during submission of your application and also at the time of decision.

• We will inform you after receiving your application and documents.
• Might be you need to send more information.
• Give Bupa medical certificate within 3 months of applying if not given at the time of submission of application.
• Visa will not be granted if Bupa medical certificate is not provided by the time of deciding.

• During granting of your visa, we will inform you about your visa grant number, the date of start of your visa and its conditions.
• In case of refusal of our visa, we will let you know the reason for refusal and if you have a right to a review of the decision.
• Application fee is non-refundable.
